Review: I returned to San Diego after retiring from the Navy in 2001. I was stationed in Hawaii the last few years and accepted a position with the Gov in SD. My first thought after settling in was to take my wife to the swap meet on a Saturday and take my son for a beer and a burger (He was 22 at the time) at Foggy's. After dropping my wife off and parking the car, my son and I made our way across the P-lot only to find Foggy's was no longer. It was relaced with a Tire shop. The Tower Record's located next to Foggy's is now a 3 day suit broker. This added insult to injury because NTC was being re-developed into Luxury Homes and as indicated by your blog the USS Recruit was in dis-repair. Well, Foggy's has been gone for years, NTC is now all Homes, and high-end "Strip Mall". The barracks I lived in while in BE/E is a VON's. How sad. What can you say.
