If you read my last posting you will note that I was planning to do a short scouting mission over to La Grande, Oregon by way of Ontario and Baker, Oregon. Well that did not happen. The weather took a 25 degree drop and I decided I wanted to make that scouting mission during a couple of nicer days.
Instead of making the scouting mission I did a little business that I have been planning to do since I arrived back here in Boise. Since I moved into my RV back in 2003 I have kept my miscellaneous possessions in storage in Emmett, Idaho which was the first RV Park I had parked my RV at after buying it. It is where I consider I started my mission from, even though I was living in Meridian, at the time. The reason I decided to launch my travel adventure from Emmett was because that is where I first moved to after retiring from the Navy in 1994 and where my family was living at that time. I had lived there a total of 5 years which is the longest time I had ever lived anywhere in my entire life. So Emmett was a good place to launch from.
Since my parents passed away my son and my sister all moved away from Emmett and only my brother Jerry still lives there. My son Ray now lives here in Boise so I continue to consider Meridian my home area when back in Idaho. So I got me a storage shed for all the "Stuff" I can't carry with me. Now that my stuff is nearer to where I "usually" stay I can get in there and finally get rid of some of that junk I no longer need. I don't mean furniture because I don't have any. I mean all that little stuff that you acquire over the years that you think will need again and never do.
Anyway the scouting mission is on for this next week. For sure! I hope.
