Work has calmed down a bit this week, so I am planning to head out tomorrow morning and make my first day trip into New Orleans. I plan to make other day trips before I leave the area but this one tomorrow is special because it will be the first since my last visit to New Orleans nearly 25 years ago.

My first excursion will be to the French Quarter where I want to see Bourbon Street, the Street Car Named Desire and just walk around and take the sights in.

I will also be looking for a great place to have lunch. It has been years, probably since the last time I was in New Orleans, that I have had any Shrimp or Seafood Gumbo. If anyone out there knows of a great place to get Shrimp and or Seafood Gumbo be sure and let me know where using the comments link for this blog. I would appreciate a good recommendation.
