I am ready to depart Branson, Missouri and plan to do so on or about 5 June. The actual day will depend on the weather. If the weather is inclement I will ride it out here before departing.
My next destination is Independence, Missouri. I plan to stay there about one week before making my toward Denver, Colorado which is my next home port. Where I will stay for several weeks. Just how long I will be in Denver will depend on finding a good RV Park to stay and my ability to access the Internet.
I have had a lot of problems with my Internet here in Branson. It has been so difficult here that I will be dedicating an entire blog entry to the problem in a few days.
My main reason for stopping off in Independence is it's on the way but also because that is the location of the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum. I visited the Truman Library once before in 1988 when I was transferring from the Trident Refit Facility in Bangor, Washington to the USS Holland, AS-32.
While driving across country I passed through Independence and stopped off at the Library. I remember enjoying the visit and would like to take the opportunity to take a closer more leisurely visit.
My general plan is to stay in Independence for a week then head directly to Denver. We are now well into the Tornado season and I would just as soon not have to deal with one. The country between Independence and Denver is well know for being the heart of Tornado country.
As I mentioned before I will be staying in the Denver area for several weeks before heading north on my way to Boise. I am considering spending some time in the Jackson Hole, Wyoming area if I can find a good RV Park with a good Internet connection.
Over the next few days I will be adding a visit report for Branson and a special RVing blog about staying connected to the Internet while I was here.
