After two weeks in the vicinity of Jackson, Mississippi I departed this morning continuing on toward Branson, Missouri. I arrived in the afternoon in Memphis, Tennessee.
The trip was unevenful which, when you are pulling 15,000 + pounds behind you, is a good thing. Interstate 55 from Louisiana to Tennesse is the most beautiful and pleasant freeway drive I have seen so far. The weather was perfect and the scenery was the best. The 180 mile drive went by very quickly. I listened to my Sirius Radio to the Old Time Radio Station and heard, The Green Hornet, Dragnet, and X-1. I also listened to the 60's music channel.
I am staying at the Elvis Presley Blvd RV Park on (you guessed it) Elvis Presley Blvd or US 51. It is about 2 blocks from Graceland, so I guess I won't have to tell you that I will be visiting there in a day or so.
I will probably take Monday off, except for work but I plan to go to Graceland either Tuesday or Wednesday. I will add a Blog entry for my visit to Graceland.
If you are one of those who are interested in how my Internet connections are when I travel, this is for you. For the first time since I left San Antonio, Texas I have a Broadband connection with Sprint. I have had one all the way (except between cities) with Verizon, not with Sprint.
